Education Minister reviews NTA exam readiness, stresses secure and smooth conduct

Union Education Minister Pralhad Joshi reviewed NTA's preparations for upcoming national-level examinations, focusing on security, candidate convenience and smooth conduct. The review also stressed stronger coordination, timely communication and student-friendly processes.

Union Education Minister Pralhad Joshi on Thursday reviewed the National Testing Agency’s (NTA) preparations for upcoming national-level examinations, including measures to strengthen exam security and improve the experience for candidates.

Joshi met with the Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, and senior NTA officials to assess overall preparedness and ensure the smooth and secure conduct of the upcoming examinations.

FOCUS ON EXAM SECURITY, CANDIDATE CONVENIENCE

The Education Minister said in a post on X that the review focused on four key areas: strengthening examination security, improving candidate convenience, ensuring efficient conduct of examinations, and enhancing coordination across the examination ecosystem.

During the meeting, Joshi stressed the need to further strengthen examination security and ensure the efficient and transparent conduct of upcoming national-level examinations.

The discussions also focused on improving coordination among stakeholders involved in the examination process and ensuring timely communication with students and aspirants.

Joshi also emphasised the importance of providing students with a seamless and student-friendly examination experience.

NTA PREPARES FOR UPCOMING EXAMINATIONS

The review comes as the NTA prepares to conduct various national-level entrance and eligibility examinations. The agency is tasked with ensuring that examination processes are conducted in a secure, efficient and candidate-friendly manner.

The minister’s review is aimed at reinforcing preparedness across different stages of the examination process, from security arrangements and coordination to communication with candidates.

EMPHASIS ON STUDENT-CENTRIC APPROACH

Joshi also held a separate meeting with senior officials of the Department of Higher Education to discuss issues concerning the higher education sector. While that meeting covered broader higher education matters, Joshi stressed innovation, adaptability and student-centric approaches to preparing young people for a rapidly changing world.

The review of NTA’s preparations comes amid the need for extensive coordination, timely communication and robust arrangements for upcoming national-level examinations.
